Online vs in-store
If you want a digital passport photo from home, GOV.UK also allows you to take a photo using your own device during an online passport application. The photograph must meet the current digital-photo rules and must not be altered with filters or background replacement.
Use our UK passport photo requirements, preliminary file checker and photo code guide before ordering.
