Selected Sainsbury’s stores list a Photo Booth under their customer facilities, but not every branch has one. Use Sainsbury’s official store locator and check the individual store facilities before travelling.
How to find a Sainsbury’s photo booth
Search for your nearest store, open the branch details and look under Customer facilities for Photo Booth. Some stores also list photo processing separately.
Check Sainsbury’s official store locator.
Check what the booth provides
Photo-booth products can vary. Before paying, confirm whether the option gives you printed passport photos, a digital image or a UK passport photo code for an online passport application. We could not verify a current Sainsbury’s-wide passport-photo price from Sainsbury’s own website, so check the individual booth or store rather than relying on an old online price.
Online alternative from home
For an online UK passport application, GOV.UK also allows you to take a digital photograph using your own device. The photograph must meet the current digital-photo rules and must be unedited.
See our UK passport photo requirements, near-me guide and photo code guide.
Passport Photo Code UK
Our current online photo options start from £6.99. Check whether you need a digital image or a product that includes a photo code before ordering.
Sainsbury’s facility information checked 10 October 2026 using the official Sainsbury’s store locator. Branch facilities can change. Passport Photo Code UK is an independent service and is not affiliated with Sainsbury’s. HM Passport Office makes the final acceptance decision.
