Renew Passport Online in the UK
Do not reserve travel unless you are in possession of a valid passport – your new passport will not require a more specific number than your old one.
If your passport has expired, you will need to renew passport online until travel is possible.
Renew your passport before it expires
Your previous passport will not be added to the brand new one at a time. You want to have at least a few weeks left for a passport to travel to certain countries. Evaluate the entry requirements of the United States on which you can watch for as long as you want.
Travel to the EU, EEA, or Switzerland from 1 January 2021
By 1 January 2021, the amount of time you want in your own passport for travel to your EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein will soon change. On the afternoon of the trip, you will need your passport for:
- ave at least 6 months left on it
- be issued less than 9 years and 6 months ago
If your passport is ‘European Union’ or has burgundy on the cover, you can still use it after 1 January 2021 as long as it has enough time left on it.
How Long It Takes
It will take around 3 weeks to get yourself a passport in case you apply online. It requires longer if you apply for this post.
You may be able to get a passport urgently if you need one earlier.
Renew Passport Online
You can use this service to renew your passport online and the is costs £75.50.
You’ll need:
- a digital passport photo
- a credit or debit card
- your passport
Renew with a paper application form
You can find a paper application form:
- Visiting some Post Office Which Has an Assess and Sends support
- calling the Passport Adviceline
It costs £85. You can pay by either:
- debit or credit card – fill in the form in the application pack
- cheque – made payable to ‘Her Majesty’s Passport Office’
You’ll need 2 new and identical printed passport photos of yourself.
